Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), attributing his decision to what he described as an unending leadership crisis at the national level of the party.
In a resignation letter submitted to party officials in his Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Ede North Local Government Area, Adeleke said the persistent turmoil within the PDP’s national leadership had made it increasingly difficult for the party to function effectively or offer a stable platform for governance and future electoral contests. The resignation reportedly took effect from November 4, 2025.
Confirming his exit in a statement released on Monday night, the governor expressed appreciation to the PDP for the opportunities it afforded him, including his election as a senator and later as governor of Osun State.
