The Maga Girls "Release": A National Deception and Final Betrayal by a Failed Government

The truth is no longer hidden. The carefully staged "release" of the Maga schoolgirls is not a victory; it is a coordinated strategy to deceive the Nigerian people, especially the North, using a fraudulent "peace accord" as a smokescreen.

We have seen the video evidence. While the Kebbi State Governor and the Minister of Defence tell us a fairy tale of a "security operation," the bandits themselves, in their own viral video, mock the Federal Government and state the truth: their release was achieved through "peaceful negotiation."

This is the grand deception, and here is why we must reject it:

1. They Paid Ransom: Let us stop the lies. No one believes that these bandits, who operate for profit, suddenly developed a conscience and released their valuable captives for free. The government paid a ransom. To claim otherwise is an insult to our collective intelligence. This is a reward for criminality and an incentive for the next kidnapping.
2. The Government is Complicit in its Own Failure: The Kebbi State Governor himself cried "sabotage," alleging that security agencies abandoned their posts before the attack. How can we trust a government whose own security apparatus is allegedly compromised? This is not just incompetence; it is a clear sign that some within the system have a hand in this chaos.
3. Negotiating with Criminals is Treason: Any reasonable government's primary duty is the security and welfare of its citizens. This does not mean negotiating with those who terrorize them. By choosing to "negotiate" instead of flushing out these bandits, the APC-led government has admitted its failure and lost all legitimacy. It is a clear betrayal of the social contract.
4. They Think We Are Fools: They release a few girls with one hand, while with the other, they allow countless others to remain in captivity. They attend political rallies while parents weep for their children. They tell us one story in Abuja, while the bandits tell us the real story from the forests. They believe Nigerians are not smart enough to see the contradiction.

We See The Game Clearly.

The closure of schools across the North out of fear of bandits is an unprecedented failure of the state. This government deserves no credit for "managing" a crisis it created and fuels through its inaction and deception.

This is not just about Kebbi. This is about the soul of Nigeria. The corruption in the Ministry of Defence affairs, the incompetence of officials, and the blatant lies from the highest levels have left our nation insecure.

We are tired of unproductive governance. We are tired of the deception. We are tired of celebrating the "release" of citizens that our taxes have already paid for.

To the APC administration: Your time is up. Your negotiation with bandits is your certificate of failure. Your lies have been exposed by the very criminals you empower.

Nigerians, we must wake up! We are the ones who will feel the collateral damage of this bad leadership. We are the ones whose children are unsafe in their schools. Let us remember this grand betrayal. Let us get our PVCs ready.

We are watching, and we are waiting. By the Grace of God, we will vote out this prodigal and incompetent APC administration and take back our country.

Bashir Kabir Sani,
A concerned citizen from Kebbi State
