In a fiery X post, Kwankwaso mocked faceless rumour peddlers who claimed he had already written a “love letter” to another political party. He dismissed the talk as fake, insisting no such letter of intent exists anywhere outside the imaginations of his desperate rivals.
> “We have been alerted to some online statements suggesting that we have submitted a letter of intent to join a political party in the country. We would like to clarify that we have not made any such submission to any party. The public is therefore advised to stay informed of any further information regarding our matter through the established official channels,” Kwankwaso thundered.
The declaration instantly sent shockwaves through Nigeria’s political grapevine, where Kwankwaso’s every move is treated like prophecy. With 2027 approaching, his name has been dangled by rival camps like a prized bride, but the former Defence Minister is not amused.
Analysts say the desperation to “marry off” Kwankwaso into strange political tents reveals the fear his cult-like followership inspires. The man himself, however, has signaled that until he speaks, every tale is nothing but political fan fiction.
