The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has released the official schedule for the 2026 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims, state boards, and licensed tour operators to ensure strict compliance with the outlined deadlines.

In a statement posted on its X account on Friday, the commission revealed that preparations for the holy pilgrimage will formally commence in November 2025 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Nigeria and the Saudi authorities.

According to the schedule, all camp booking payments and confirmation of service contract packages must be concluded by January 4, 2026, while the deadline for uploading transport and accommodation contracts on the Nusuk Masar portal is February 1, 2026. NAHCON further stressed that March 20, 2026, remains the final date for visa issuance, warning that no extensions will be granted beyond that deadline.

The commission also set October 8, 2025, as the deadline for the remittance of funds by states and private operators, describing it as a critical requirement to secure slots for intending pilgrims.

NAHCON urged all stakeholders to take the schedule seriously, noting that timely registration and compliance would ensure seamless coordination and avoid unnecessary disruptions in the operations.
