Ibrahim Haruna, popularly known as Danmalikin Magami and a prominent aspirant for the Kebbi State House of Assembly under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has officially decamped to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Hon. Haruna, who hails from the Danko Wasagu West Constituency—an influential area and the second most populated Local Government Area in Kebbi State—made his declaration of support during a meeting with Dr Sule-iko S Sami a trusted political lieutenant of former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN.
Haruna’s exit from the PDP and embrace of the ADC is widely interpreted as a strategic alignment with Malami’s rising political structure ahead of the 2027 elections. His influence in Danko Wasagu and surrounding communities is expected to bolster grassroots mobilization efforts for the Malami movement across Kebbi and the northwest region.
According to insiders, the meeting between Haruna and Dr. Iko-Sami was not only symbolic but also strategic—signaling the start of a broader coalition being built around Malami’s vision for a new national leadership come 2027.
