Malami Celebrates Sultan Of Sokoto At 69, Hails His Reign Of Peace And Unity

Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, has joined millions of Nigerians in felicitating with the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, on the occasion of his 69th birthday anniversary.

In a statement personally signed and released through his aide, Mohammed Bello Doka, Malami described the Sultan as a symbol of peace, a unifying figure, and a spiritual guide whose reign has transcended the borders of Sokoto to positively impact Nigeria and beyond.

Malami noted that under the leadership of the Sultan, the Sokoto Caliphate has continued to flourish as a citadel of learning, religious tolerance, and cultural preservation, while also playing a critical role in national cohesion and dialogue. He commended His Eminence for consistently championing the cause of the less privileged and promoting interfaith harmony at a time Nigeria faces numerous challenges.

“On behalf of my family, associates, and well-wishers, I, Abubakar Malami, SAN, extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto, on the joyous occasion of his 69th birthday anniversary,” Malami stated.

He added:
“Your Eminence, your reign has been a beacon of peace, unity, and spiritual guidance not only to the people of Sokoto Caliphate but to the entire nation of Nigeria. Your tireless efforts in promoting interfaith dialogue, fostering national cohesion, and championing the welfare of the less privileged stand as a testament to your exemplary leadership.

As you mark this milestone, we pray that Almighty Allah continues to grant you wisdom, good health, and many more years of impactful service to humanity. May your reign continue to inspire hope, strengthen our unity, and serve as a guiding light in our collective journey toward peace and progress. Congratulations once again, Your Eminence.”

The Sultan, regarded as the spiritual leader of millions of Muslims in Nigeria, ascended the throne in 2006 and has since become a respected voice on national issues. His interventions on peace-building, education, and social justice have earned him recognition across the globe.
