President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the immediate employment of 200 outstanding members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) into the federal civil service.
The directive was made public during the NYSC Presidential Honours Award held in Abuja on Monday. The honorees, who served between the 2020 and 2023 service years, were selected for their exceptional dedication, innovation, and outstanding contributions during their national service.
In addition to the employment offer, President Tinubu also approved a ₦250,000 cash reward for each of the 200 corps members. The gesture is aimed at encouraging excellence and patriotism among Nigerian youths.
Delivering the president’s message, the representative of the administration commended the NYSC for its critical role in national integration and human capital development. He stressed that rewarding hard work and patriotism remains a cornerstone of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The ceremony was attended by top government officials, NYSC management, and representatives of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation. The awardees were praised for their efforts in driving community development and upholding the values of national unity.
President Tinubu urged current and future corps members to emulate the awardees and assured that his administration will continue to prioritize youth empowerment, job creation, and national development.
