In a significant political development, the Yauri chapter of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kebbi State, under the leadership of Alhaji Bello 110, paid a courtesy visit to former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, in Abuja today.

The delegation, comprising elders, youth leaders, and stakeholders of the party, expressed deep appreciation for Malami’s unwavering humanitarian and philanthropic contributions across Kebbi State and Nigeria at large. Speaking during the visit, Alhaji Bello 110 noted that Malami’s legacy of service, ranging from educational support and healthcare interventions to poverty alleviation initiatives, has endeared him to the people of Yauri and beyond.

“We are here not just as politicians, but as sons and daughters of Kebbi who have witnessed the positive impact of Malami’s generosity and love for his people,” he stated. “His efforts have touched lives and brought hope to many. As such, we are proud to stand with him.”

The group also used the opportunity to throw their full weight behind Malami’s yet-to-be-declared governorship ambition, describing him as the most credible and competent figure to steer Kebbi State toward progress and prosperity.

“We pledge our total support for Malami should he decide to run for governor. Kebbi needs a visionary leader with the right experience, national exposure, and compassion for the masses. Malami embodies all these qualities and more,” Alhaji Bello added.

In his response, Malami thanked the delegation for their solidarity, describing their visit as humbling and encouraging. He reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Kebbi State and reiterated his passion for public service.

This latest show of support adds to the growing chorus of voices urging Malami to step into the political arena of Kebbi State as the 2027 election approaches.
