Kebbi Rescue Mission: Kaoje Rallies Behind Malami's Ultimate Governorship Project

By Mohammed Bello Doka

In what many political observers have described as a bold step toward rescuing Kebbi State from imminent collapse, Dr. Nasiru Kaoje, a prominent PDP chieftain and former gubernatorial candidate, has thrown his weight behind the anticipated governorship bid of former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN.

Dr. Kaoje, a seasoned politician with deep roots in the state's political architecture, paid a surprise visit to Malami in Birnin Kebbi, urging him to rise above party sentiments and heed the clarion call of the people.

"We cannot watch Kebbi descend into further disrepair and political stagnation. The time for silence is over. Malami must contest to salvage our dear state from the brink," Kaoje declared passionately.

Kaoje's endorsement cuts across party lines and signals what is now being dubbed "The Ultimate Project" — a people-driven movement to install a visionary leader capable of confronting the rot in Kebbi’s political and developmental system. Described as the last line of defense against state capture, the project is rapidly gaining momentum among stakeholders, youths, technocrats, and elder statesmen across the state.

Insiders revealed that Kaoje, despite his affiliation with the PDP, believes Malami represents the best hope for the state's future, describing him as "a man with national exposure, untainted by local political bitterness, and equipped with the capacity to rebuild Kebbi's broken structures."

The call comes amid growing discontent over poor governance, dwindling infrastructure, and increasing insecurity in the state. Kaoje emphasized that the time has come for competent leadership, not recycled mediocrity, to take charge.

Political analysts view this endorsement as a watershed moment that could realign Kebbi's political direction, hinting at a grand coalition of like-minded leaders ready to back Malami's potential candidacy — regardless of partisan divides.

Sources close to Malami have not yet confirmed his intentions, but the mounting pressure and swelling grassroots support indicate that a declaration may be imminent.

As 2027 approaches, the Ultimate Project is no longer just a whisper in political corridors — it is becoming a loud, unstoppable chorus calling for transformational leadership, with Abubakar Malami at the center.
