The Senate has approved the 2025 appropriation bill for Rivers State, authorizing the state government to spend a total of ₦1.485 trillion for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025.
The approval came after the bill scaled through its third reading, following the presentation and consideration of the report by the Ad-Hoc Committee on Rivers State during a Committee of Supply session.
The legislation empowers the state to withdraw the sum of ₦1,485,662,592,442 from the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Rivers State to fund its operations and developmental projects throughout the upcoming fiscal year.
