Oshiomhole Under Fire for Airport Conduct as Keyamo Orders Investigation

By Hagxy Don

The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) has condemned Senator Adams Oshiomhole’s recent behavior at the Lagos Airport, describing his conduct as "unacceptable" and symptomatic of the growing wave of unruly passenger actions across the country.

Speaking on behalf of the group, AON spokesperson Prof. Obiora Okonkwo criticized the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for its continued silence more than 48 hours after the incident. He called for firm institutional action to support airlines and ensure public officials are not seen to undermine aviation regulations.

In response to the growing controversy, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has ordered a full investigation into the matter. He urged all parties to exercise restraint, emphasizing the need for a fair and thorough review of all available evidence before drawing conclusions.

Keyamo also appealed for an immediate end to the public accusations between Senator Oshiomhole and Air Peace, noting that decorum and due process must be upheld in matters involving the aviation sector.
