MSO Blasts Kebbi Governor Over Airport Denial to Malami’s Family

By Hagxy Don

The Malami Support Organization (MSO) has strongly condemned what it described as a shameful and vindictive act by the Governor of Kebbi State, who on Friday reportedly ordered the denial of access to the state airport for the family of Nigeria’s former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Abubakar Malami (SAN).

In a press statement issued today, MSO expressed outrage over the Governor’s action, labeling it “a new low in political intolerance” and a “cowardly abuse of public power.”

“This shameful display of vindictiveness marks a new low in political intolerance. The harassment of a law-abiding citizen, simply because of her marital ties to a respected national figure, is cowardly, petty, and completely unacceptable,” the group said.

MSO further accused the Governor of prioritizing political pettiness over good governance and warned that such acts only damage the dignity of public office.

“No amount of political desperation or sponsored harassment can diminish the towering legacy of Dr. Abubakar Malami. His record of service to Nigeria remains untouched by the antics of desperate politicians,” the statement added.

The organization called on traditional institutions, civil society, and relevant authorities to take note of the abuse and hold the Kebbi State Governor accountable.

Reaffirming its solidarity with Malami and his family, MSO vowed to remain vocal and undeterred in the face of intimidation.
