Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, has extended heartfelt prayers and solidarity to renowned Kannywood actor and musician, Adam A. Zango, following his recent involvement in a car accident along the Kaduna-Kano expressway.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Mohammed Bello Doka, and released to the press on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Malami, who has just returned from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he performed the Hajj pilgrimage, said he was deeply moved upon receiving the news of the accident while abroad.

“I received with deep concern the unfortunate news of the recent automobile accident involving renowned Kannywood actor and musician, Adam A. Zango,” Malami stated. “While on pilgrimage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Hajj, I was informed of the incident, and upon my return, I feel compelled to personally extend my heartfelt sympathy and offer fervent prayers for your swift and complete recovery.”

Malami praised Zango not only for his extraordinary artistic talent but also for his humility and positive influence on young people through his work in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

“Your creative contributions, particularly within Kannywood, have brought joy, reflection, and inspiration to countless fans across Nigeria and beyond. Your humility, even in the face of fame, stands out as a model for others in the industry,” he said.

He added that Zango’s impact as both an actor and a musician has elevated Hausa cultural expression and given voice to northern narratives in a way that bridges communities and promotes unity.

“May Almighty Allah (SWT) grant you healing, strength, and continued protection,” Malami prayed, reassuring the actor that he and his family are not alone during this trying time.

“Please be assured that at this critical moment, we stand in full solidarity with you. You are in our thoughts and prayers,” the statement concluded.
