Tinubu Clears Path For Kolmani Oil Project With Swift Regulatory Approvals

In a major boost to Nigeria’s energy sector, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has granted all critical regulatory approvals required for the commencement of the Kolmani Integrated Development Project — a multibillion-dollar oil exploration venture strategically located between Bauchi and Gombe States.

The announcement was made by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, during the flag-off ceremony for the construction of the permanent site of the Bauchi Oil and Gas Academy in Alkaleri Local Government Area on Sunday.

According to a statement by the Minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Nneamaka Okafor, Senator Lokpobiri described the development as a direct outcome of President Tinubu’s commitment to revamping Nigeria’s oil production capacity.

“The imperative to activate all available oil platforms for increased production led President Bola Tinubu to grant approvals for the issuance of all critical regulatory licences for the Kolmani Integrated Development Projects,” Lokpobiri said.

The Kolmani project, hailed as a transformative initiative, holds vast potential to drive economic development, create thousands of jobs, and reposition the Northeast as a key player in Nigeria’s oil sector. The swift regulatory approvals signal the Tinubu administration’s resolve to unlock dormant hydrocarbon assets and harness them for national growth.
