In a stunning twist, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has erupted into internal turmoil following a Supreme Court ruling on March 21, 2025. The Acting National Chairman, HE Amb Umar Iliya Damagun, through Deputy National Publicity Secretary Ibrahim Abdullahi, has fiercely denounced a statement by National Publicity Secretary Hon Debo Ologunagba, labeling it a "calculated falsehood." Ologunagba had claimed the court affirmed Udeh Okoye as National Secretary, but Abdullahi insists the Supreme Court branded Okoye an "impostor" and dismissed appellant Emmanuel Aniagu as a "meddlesome interloper."
The National Working Committee (NWC) has distanced itself from Ologunagba’s claims, accusing him of undermining its authority with "extreme and contradictory" actions. The PDP leadership urged members and the public to discard Ologunagba’s statement as a fabrication, reaffirming its commitment to uphold the Supreme Court’s decision. As tensions boil, the PDP faces a deepening crisis, with its top brass locked in a sensational showdown.
