The Special Adviser to the Senate President on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, has challenged Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to provide concrete evidence to support her allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, in a report published by Premium Times on Sunday, claimed that Akpabio was behind her removal from the United Nations premises in New York after she reported allegations of sexual harassment to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Eyiboh dismissed the allegations, insisting that the senator must substantiate her claims rather than resorting to what he described as baseless accusations.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, was recently suspended from the Senate for six months over alleged misconduct. During her visit to the UN headquarters, she asserted that her suspension was politically motivated and aimed at silencing her.
The controversy has sparked reactions, with observers calling for clarity on the senator’s claims and the events surrounding her removal from the UN premises.
