Hon. Dahiru Hamman Dikko, the Executive Director of Agricultural Services at the Upper Benue River Development Authority and National Coordinator of the Northern Region Support for Tinubu/Kashim, has urged Nigerians to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to ensure the success of his bold economic and governance reforms. He emphasized that no leader can drive transformation alone and that national development requires the collective support of all citizens.
In a statement released on Monday, Hamman Dikko reaffirmed his unwavering confidence in President Tinubu’s ability to deliver on his campaign promises, citing his past record of excellence in governance and reforms. He noted that the president is already taking the necessary steps to reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth but faces stiff resistance from individuals who are determined to see him fail.
“These desperate politicians have entrenched themselves in our system since the Second Republic, manipulating the political landscape for their selfish interests. Now that Tinubu is implementing bold reforms, they are doing everything possible to derail his administration,” Hamman Dikko stated.
He warned Nigerians to remain vigilant and not fall for the antics of these political power brokers, who he described as opportunists trying to protect their long-standing hold on the system. According to him, these individuals, now aging, are grooming protégés to continue their legacy of obstruction, preventing any meaningful progress from taking root.
Hamman Dikko further argued that Nigeria’s current economic hardships, including the rising cost of petrol, are a consequence of past indecision and resistance to necessary reforms. He insisted that if previous administrations had taken the kind of bold steps Tinubu is now implementing, the country would not be facing its present economic realities.
“The hardships of today are the price we must pay for a prosperous future. Nigerians must understand that sustainable progress comes with sacrifice,” he stated.
He also reminded politicians that power ultimately belongs to God, not human manipulation. “When God says no, no amount of scheming can change the outcome,” he remarked, urging those working against Tinubu’s administration to embrace the will of the people.
Hamman Dikko concluded by calling on Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support for President Tinubu, assuring them that the sacrifices of today will lead to a stronger, more resilient Nigeria. “Now is the time to unite behind our president. With our collective efforts, we can secure a brighter future for all,” he added.
