Pholkollings ICT Limited has presented an ambitious project proposal titled Hydronexus to the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) in an effort to modernize water resource management through cutting-edge technology. The presentation, led by the company's representative, Mr. Terver Orbunde, was made to NIHSA's Director General, Umar Ibrahim Mohammed, and his technical team.
The Hydronexus project is designed to revolutionize the management of Nigeria's water resources by creating a robust digital framework that leverages advanced technologies for sustainable development and improved service delivery.
Key Features of the Hydronexus Project
Mr. Orbunde outlined the transformative potential of the project, which aims to address critical water management challenges by integrating:

He emphasized that the Hydronexus platform would significantly enhance NIHSA's operational capabilities by improving flood prediction systems, strengthening public engagement tools, and developing a more resilient digital ecosystem.
“By integrating these advanced technologies with NIHSA’s existing systems, the Hydronexus Project will not only modernize hydrological operations but also position the agency as a continental leader in water resource management,” said Orbunde.

The Hydronexus Project focuses on three primary goals:
1. Flood Prediction and Disaster Preparedness: Developing sophisticated tools to mitigate risks and minimize damages.
2. Public Engagement Enhancements: Creating effective communication channels for timely and accessible information dissemination.

Collaboration and Strategic Alignment
The proposal spurred intensive discussions between NIHSA and Pholkollings ICT Limited, covering implementation strategies, data security, and long-term sustainability. Both parties recognized the alignment of the Hydronexus Project with NIHSA’s strategic goals and its potential to contribute to Nigeria's broader national development objectives.
In his response, NIHSA Director General Umar Ibrahim Mohammed commended Pholkollings ICT Limited for their forward-thinking approach.

To formalize the partnership and expedite the project’s implementation, Mohammed directed NIHSA’s technical team to work with Pholkollings ICT Limited in drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
