NIHSA visits Galaxy Backbone Limited to assess digital infrastructure

A delegation from the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA), led by Mr. Stephen Jabo, Technical Adviser to the Director General, recently visited Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB) to evaluate its cutting-edge digital infrastructure.

The NIHSA team was warmly welcomed by Engr. Kazeem Suleiman, Technical Adviser to the Managing Director/CEO of Galaxy Backbone, along with other senior staff members.

During the visit, the delegation toured several key facilities, including the Security Operations Centre, the Tier III Data Centre, and the Network Operations Centre. These state-of-the-art facilities highlighted GBB’s commitment to securing data, managing intricate network operations, and advancing technological innovation.

Speaking on behalf of the NIHSA Director General, Mr. Jabo commended Galaxy Backbone for its outstanding achievements in digital infrastructure and cybersecurity. He expressed appreciation for the informative tour and emphasized the potential for a strong partnership between the two organizations.

Mr. Jabo further assured GBB that he would brief the NIHSA Director General on the impressive infrastructure and technological capabilities observed during the visit.

This visit reaffirms NIHSA’s commitment to leveraging modern technology in its operations and recognizes Galaxy Backbone Limited as a key partner in advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation and innovation efforts.
