Kano Approves Resumption Date for Primary and Post-Primary Schools for the 2nd Term of the 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Kano State Government has announced Sunday, January 5, 2025, as the resumption date for all boarding public and private primary and post-primary schools in the state for the commencement of the 2024/2025 second-term academic session.

Meanwhile, pupils and students in day schools across the state are expected to resume on Monday, January 6, 2025.

A statement signed by Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Ministry, urges parents and guardians to take note of the resumption dates to ensure full compliance.

The statement also warns that appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against any students or pupils who fail to resume on the designated dates.

It further quoted the state Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, as reiterating the present administration's commitment to providing quality education in the state.

“The Kano State Government will do everything possible to create a conducive learning environment that inspires and empowers students to excel academically,” the statement added.

Additionally, the statement quoted the commissioner wishing both teachers and students a successful start to the second term of the academic session. It also emphasized that intensive routine monitoring exercises would continue to ensure staff punctuality and efficiency.
