As an ardent supporter of your work and as an APC chieftain from Delta State, I feel compelled to reach out to you on some pressing matters concerning your role as Minister of Aviation and the growing political distractions that have been making the rounds in recent times.
First and foremost, let me express my admiration for your contributions to the growth of our nation, especially in your current role as the Minister of Aviation. Your dedication to public service, your sharp legal mind, and your tireless advocacy for justice have earned you the respect of many, both within and outside the political landscape. Your leadership within the Ministry of Aviation is critical at this juncture in Nigeria’s history, where the aviation sector is at a crossroads, struggling with years of neglect and mismanagement.
It is with this in mind that I implore you to stay focused on the critical tasks at hand. I understand that, as a political leader, there are always pressures from various quarters, but I urge you not to be swayed by the antics of political jobbers who are pushing for your involvement in the 2027 gubernatorial race in Delta State. These individuals, with their selfish ambitions and short-sightedness, seek to distract you from the vital work required to rebuild Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure. Their motivations are not aligned with your long-term vision or the overarching goals of the Renewed Hope Administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Your work in the Ministry of Aviation is paramount. You have a unique opportunity to lead reforms that will transform the aviation sector and make Nigeria's air travel system world-class. The challenges are immense, from outdated infrastructure to poor regulatory frameworks and underdeveloped human capital. However, you have the skills, expertise, and vision to bring about significant change in this sector. The need for a well-functioning aviation industry that aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is more urgent than ever. You must focus on clearing the rot within this critical sector and work diligently towards modernizing the nation's airports, enhancing safety, and improving service delivery for Nigerians and international travelers alike.
I am sure you are well aware of the missteps of others who have been caught in the web of political distractions. Take, for instance, Stella Okotete, who was appointed as the Head of Nexim Bank by former President Buhari. Despite being given such an opportunity, she failed to leverage it in a way that would elevate her people, the Urhobo nation, and the country at large. Instead, she squandered that chance, and her legacy is marred by unfulfilled promises. I caution you to beware of individuals who would try to sell you a similar narrative, pushing you into a race or pursuit that could ultimately distract you from your current duties and derail your political career.
As a leader from Delta State, you are already in a prime position to make the Urhobo people, the Delta people, and indeed, all Nigerians proud. Your legacy as a minister who prioritized national progress over personal political ambition will far outweigh the fleeting gains of a gubernatorial run in the distant future. You have the power to shape the aviation sector, to restore its glory, and to make Nigeria a leading aviation hub in Africa, under the watchful eye of President Tinubu’s government.
You are doing a wonderful job for Nigeria, and your efforts are not going unnoticed. I urge you to stay true to the path of progress and ignore the distractions of mischief-makers who seek only to divide our focus. Let your actions and achievements in aviation speak for themselves. The time will come for you to decide your political future when the nation is in a position to assess the true value of your contributions.
In conclusion, please stay focused on the task at hand: making Nigeria and Nigerians proud through your work in the Ministry of Aviation. Tailor your thoughts and actions in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda, and leave the short-term political maneuvers to those who have yet to learn the value of long-term, sustainable progress.
