NIHSA, RESLARC Submit Strategic Report On Capacity Building Collaboration

The Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) and Remote Sensing and Land Resources Consultancy (RESLARC) have submitted a comprehensive report aimed at enhancing NIHSA’s capacity through targeted capacity-building initiatives.

The report, titled Roadmap to Enhance Capacity, was formally presented to the Director General of NIHSA, Umar Ibrahim Mohammed, by the Chief Executive Officer of RESLARC, Dr. A.A. Usman, for review and subsequent decision-making.

The collaboration focuses on leveraging advanced remote sensing and geospatial technologies to improve NIHSA’s hydrological services. The proposed strategies emphasize staff training in critical areas such as data collection, analysis, and modern technology integration to ensure greater accuracy, efficiency, and impact in the Agency’s operations.

Umar Ibrahim Mohammed commended the effort, underscoring the importance of capacity development in boosting productivity and positioning NIHSA as a leader in hydrology and water resource management. He stated that implementing the roadmap would empower the Agency to meet growing sectoral demands while driving innovation and excellence.

The collaboration marks a pivotal step in strengthening NIHSA’s contributions to sustainable water resource management in Nigeria. The Director General assured stakeholders that the report would receive thorough consideration and that the Agency remains committed to continuous growth and advancement in service delivery.
