On Tuesday, November 12, the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, conducted an inspection of ongoing projects at the permanent site of Forward Operating Base Lekki (FOB Lekki). The visit underscored the Navy's commitment to enhancing operational readiness and support for personnel stationed in the area.
The inspected projects included the administrative block, a 16x1 accommodation block for Junior Officers, a 16x2 Senior Rates facility, a 24x1 accommodation for Junior Rates, and the construction of access roads. The progress observed was promising, with all works moving steadily toward completion. This development is expected to significantly improve both the infrastructure and living conditions for personnel at FOB Lekki.
Vice Admiral Ogalla expressed confidence that the completion of these projects will strengthen the base’s operational efficiency, ultimately contributing to greater maritime security in the region.
