NIHSA Delegation Engages Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning for Swift Budget Implementation

A high-level delegation from the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) met with the Director of Planning at the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning to discuss the swift implementation of the agency's budget and address the overall wellbeing of the organization.

The meeting, aimed at fostering collaboration, focused on ensuring that the NIHSA budget is effectively executed in a timely manner, allowing the agency to carry out its critical functions in water resource management, flood forecasting, and environmental protection.

Both parties discussed strategies to enhance the operational efficiency of NIHSA, ensuring that its mandate to safeguard Nigeria’s water resources is met in an optimal and sustainable manner. The delegation underscored the importance of robust financial backing and operational support to enhance the agency's capacity to meet its goals.

The Director of Planning expressed the Ministry’s full support for NIHSA’s initiatives and emphasized the importance of streamlining processes to facilitate the agency's operations.
