Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai Applauds Deputy Senate President Barau's Support for Kano Police

Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement for the Northwest, has praised Senator Barau I. Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate, for his recent donation of 1,000 motorcycles to the Kano State Police Command. The gesture, celebrated at a ceremony in Bompai, Kano, is seen as a significant boost to the state's security efforts.

Yakasai lauded Senator Barau’s dedication to enhancing security in Kano, emphasizing that such contributions are vital for effective policing and community safety. He highlighted that the motorcycles would significantly improve the operational efficiency of the police, particularly in reaching remote areas and ensuring swift responses to emergencies. This donation builds on Barau’s previous contribution in 2023, when he provided 22 operational vehicles to the command, underscoring his ongoing commitment to equipping the state’s security apparatus.

In his commendation, Yakasai called on the Kano Police Command to make judicious use of the motorcycles, stressing the need for them to be utilized effectively for the benefit of the people of Kano. He emphasized that the donation should translate into better security outcomes, urging the police to maintain accountability in deploying the resources to enhance public safety and crime prevention across the state.
