In a significant step towards promoting sustainable energy in Nigeria, NNPC Retail Limited (NRL), a subsidiary of NNPC Ltd, recently sensitized over 1,000 auto mechanics on the benefits of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) adoption and the usage of its Oleum lubricant range. The initiative took place at the National Artisans and Technicians Conference in Lagos, attracting participants from across the country.
The sensitization exercise aimed to accelerate the transition to CNG as a cleaner, more affordable fuel option, helping reduce the nation's reliance on traditional gasoline. By demystifying the process of converting vehicles from gasoline to CNG, NRL equipped the auto mechanics with the knowledge to champion the adoption of this alternative energy solution in their communities.
The event also highlighted the advantages of Oleum lubricants, which are engineered for superior performance in both CNG and gasoline-powered vehicles. This dual focus on CNG adoption and high-quality lubricants underscores NRL's commitment to supporting Nigeria's shift towards sustainable energy practices, fostering a cleaner environment, and promoting cost-effective alternatives for vehicle maintenance.
NNPC Retail’s initiative aligns with the federal government’s broader strategy for a greener economy and seeks to empower the automotive sector to play a pivotal role in achieving this goal.
