National Lottery Trust Fund Unveils Strategic Plan for Nigeria's Development

The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) launched its strategic document for 2024-2028, outlining its vision for driving Nigeria's development through collective efforts. The event, held at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa featured remarks from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who stressed the importance of unity in achieving national progress. Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the President highlighted the NLTF's role in funding projects that benefit communities across the country.

“This initiative represents a significant step towards the economic and social advancement of our nation. Through the NLTF's efforts, we are committed to harnessing lottery revenues to support the common good by funding impactful projects. I commend the leadership of Mr. Tosin Adeyanju for his dedication and urge all stakeholders to join us in driving Nigeria's development to new heights,” said President Tinubu.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, represented by Deputy Chief of Staff Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, praised the NLTF's achievements under Adeyanju's leadership, noting that recent successes reflect a clear direction for the organization's future contributions to national growth.

Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Zephaniah Bitrus Jisalo, pledged the ministry’s commitment to transparency, while Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila, Director-General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, spoke about the global impact of gaming revenues. He emphasized that lottery funds are pivotal in supporting sectors like healthcare, education, sports, and rural development.

NLTF's Director-General and CEO, Mr. Tosin Adeyanju, shared that the organization, established 20 years ago, has completed 306 projects across Nigeria, with more in the pipeline. He reiterated the Fund's dedication to delivering good causes and enhancing the quality of life for Nigerians.

The launch drew numerous dignitaries, stakeholders, and leaders who expressed support for the NLTF’s vision of using lottery resources to drive sustainable development nationwide.
