Bobrisky Allegedly Arrested at Seme Border Amid House of Reps Investigation

Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky, was reportedly apprehended by security personnel at the Seme border on Monday. The arrest came amid allegations that he was attempting to flee to Benin Republic to evade an ongoing investigation by the House of Representatives. This claim was made by social media activist Martins Ortse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), who shared the news in a video on his Instagram page.

According to VDM, Bobrisky was intercepted by the Nigerian Immigration Services while trying to cross the border. The activist stated, "Bobrisky has been arrested this morning at Seme border while trying to enter Benin Republic to escape the current investigation by the House of Reps. He is allegedly being held by the Nigerian immigration."

The controversial figure has been under public scrutiny following the release of an audio recording by VDM. In the recording, Bobrisky allegedly confessed to bribing officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million. He also purportedly revealed that he avoided serving a six-month jail term at Kirikiri prison, crediting the intervention of a powerful godfather for his evasion.

As the situation unfolds, it remains unclear whether formal charges will be filed against the crossdresser or if further details of the House of Representatives' investigation will be disclosed. This development adds a new twist to the ongoing saga surrounding Bobrisky, raising questions about the nature of the allegations and the extent of his connections within the corridors of power.
