Amal Technology Limited, following an invitation from the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA), embarked on a familiarization tour of NIHSA’s headquarters to assess potential avenues for collaboration. The visit, aimed at exploring how Amal Technology's expertise could enhance NIHSA's laboratory equipment, brought together technical teams from both organizations.
During the visit, Amal Technology engaged with NIHSA’s technical staff and gained a thorough understanding of the agency’s operations, particularly in the isotope laboratory. The Director of the Hydrogeophysics Department, Mr. Stephen Jabo, warmly received the delegation and led them through various analytical processes, showcasing the laboratory's current capabilities and ongoing research projects.
The hands-on experience allowed Amal Technology's team to evaluate the functionality and efficiency of NIHSA's systems. Discussions focused on identifying areas where Amal Technology could contribute by repairing, redesigning, or enhancing the agency's laboratory equipment.
Both teams expressed optimism about the prospects for collaboration, with Amal Technology pledging to provide a detailed proposal based on their findings. This proposal is expected to serve as the blueprint for future joint efforts aimed at advancing Nigeria's hydrological research and technological capabilities.
