The Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF), Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, has made a notable contribution to healthcare in Osun State by donating essential medical equipment to Ijebu Jesa General Hospital. The donation was received with gratitude by Governor Ademola Adeleke and local stakeholders.
During the event, Adeyanju expressed his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for the trust placed in him and lauded the president’s dedication to advancing healthcare in Nigeria. He highlighted the NLTF’s ongoing projects in Osun, including the distribution of sports equipment to 62 primary schools and first aid supplies to 9 public schools.
The newly donated equipment includes:
- 1 X-Ray Mobile Machine
- 4 Infant Incubators
- 3 Haematocrit Centrifuges
- 10 Suction Machines
- 5 Autoclaves
- 3 Defibrillators (AED)
- 2 Electrophoretic Tanks/Machines
- 2 Physiotherapy Equipment
- 2 ENT Diagnostic Sets
- 10 Sphygmomanometers
- 3 Caesarean Section Instruments
Adeyanju urged the community to utilize the equipment effectively and announced that the NLTF’s Monitoring and Evaluation team would visit the projects for feedback.
Governor Adeleke commended the NLTF for its health sector intervention, expressing his desire for further collaboration and support for Osun’s cultural heritage. High Chief Oladele Fasewu, representing the paramount ruler of Ijebu Ijesa, thanked Adeyanju for the high-quality equipment and called for additional support to ensure optimal use.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including traditional rulers, government officials, and healthcare sector stakeholders, emphasizing the significance of the donation in improving local healthcare services.
