In a significant move to foster collaboration and enhance national development, the National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) recently welcomed the House Committee on Inter-Governmental Affairs, led by its Chairman, Hon. Chukwugozie Canic Moore Nwachukwu, on an oversight visit. The primary aim of the visit was to engage with NLTF, assess its activities, and address challenges faced by the organization.
Expressing the committee's enthusiasm, Nwachukwu stated, "Our visit is to interface with NLTF, understand its successes, problems, and activities, and provide support where needed for the betterment of the country." This marked the committee's inaugural visit to the NLTF, and Nwachukwu highlighted the importance of this engagement.
The Executive Secretary of NLTF, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, warmly welcomed the lawmakers, commending their dedication to the nation's progress. Adeyanju emphasized NLTF's mandate to support GOOD CAUSES across various sectors including health, education, environment, sports, water, disaster relief, and humanitarian activities. He proudly noted that the NLTF has successfully implemented 78 projects nationwide, showcasing the organization's broad impact.
Praising the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in alleviating poverty, Adeyanju urged the President to leverage NLTF’s resources to reach vulnerable Nigerians more effectively. He assured the lawmakers of the equitable distribution of interventions and expressed a strong willingness to partner with them to fulfill the organization's mandate.
