The Mandate Secretary for Youth Development Secretariat, FCT, Comrade Suleiman Abdullahi Ango, paid a courtesy visit yesterday to the Honourable Minister of Defence, His Excellency Hon. Abubakar Badaru, at his office in Abuja.
The meeting was marked by productive discussions on several key issues, particularly focusing on youth development, security, and youth inclusiveness. The visit highlighted the significance of inter-agency collaboration in promoting youth-oriented initiatives and tackling security challenges across the nation.
Comrade Ango emphasized the crucial need for collaborative efforts to empower young people, enabling them to make substantial contributions to the nation’s growth. He stressed that by investing in the youth, Nigeria could harness a powerful force for positive change. In response, His Excellency Hon. Badaru reiterated the Ministry of Defence's commitment to supporting youth development programs and safeguarding the safety and well-being of young Nigerians.
This visit marks the beginning of what could be a strong partnership between the Youth Development Secretariat and the Ministry of Defence. Both parties expressed a shared interest in fostering youth inclusiveness and addressing the pressing security concerns affecting the youth.
