We seek to provide essential resources, comprehensive training, and robust support systems to make agriculture a viable career choice for young Nigerians. Our mission aligns with your administration’s goals of economic diversification, job creation, and enhanced food security.
Global Success Stories
Globally, numerous successful initiatives have demonstrated the power of engaging youth in agriculture:
1. Netherlands: The “Young Farmers Program” in the Netherlands has been a model of success. The program provides financial support and access to advanced agricultural technologies. As a result, the Netherlands has become a leader in innovative farming practices, with young farmers playing a crucial role in the country's agricultural success. *“The future of farming lies in the hands of our youth, and we are committed to equipping them with the tools they need,”* said Janneke de Vries, Director of the Young Farmers Program.
2. United States: The U.S. “Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program” offers grants, training, and mentorship to new farmers. This initiative has resulted in increased productivity and a thriving new generation of farmers. *“Investing in new farmers is an investment in the future of American agriculture,”* noted Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack.
3. Kenya: Kenya’s “Youth in Agriculture Strategy” provides land access, training, and financial resources to young farmers. This program has improved food security and driven economic growth in rural areas. *“Our youth are the backbone of a thriving agricultural sector,”* emphasized Agriculture Secretary Peter Munya.
4. India: India’s “National Agriculture Market (e-NAM)” offers young farmers access to digital platforms for selling their produce. This initiative has expanded market reach and increased incomes. *“Technology is transforming agriculture and empowering our youth,”* remarked Indian Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
5. Brazil: The “Brazilian Young Farmers Program” supports young agripreneurs with grants and technical training. This initiative has fostered successful agribusinesses and contributed to economic growth. *“Empowering young farmers is key to our agricultural and economic future,”* stated Agriculture Minister Carlos Fávaro.

The Universal Tinubu Shettima Initiative aims to unlock significant market opportunities for Nigeria and enhance foreign exchange earnings.
