Condolence Message from the Office of the APC National Women Leader, Dr. Mrs. Mary Alile

By Capacity Media

To the People and Government of Benue State,

It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that I extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire community of Benue State in the wake of the recent tragic events in Ayati and Borikyo. The heinous attack by suspected armed militias, which claimed six precious lives and left many others injured, is a stark reminder of the challenges we face as a nation.

To the families who have lost loved ones, I offer my sincerest sympathies. No words can adequately capture the grief and pain you are enduring, but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this harrowing time. We stand in solidarity with you, sharing in your sorrow and mourning the loss of our fellow Nigerians.

Governor Reverend Father Hychient Alia, your leadership in this critical period is invaluable. Your compassion and steadfast commitment to the well-being of Benue's citizens provide a beacon of hope and strength. In the face of such adversity, we urge you to continue to lead with wisdom and resilience, knowing that the entire nation supports your efforts to restore peace and security.

The destruction of properties, including the Ukum Local Government Secretariat and the residence of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Paul Biam, as well as the protest resulting in the damage to the INEC office, highlights the profound impact of these attacks on the community. It is essential that we work together to rebuild and heal, fostering a sense of unity and purpose in the aftermath of such devastation.

We commend the swift response of the state police and other security agencies, who bravely confronted the attackers and repelled them. Their courage and dedication to protecting our communities are commendable, and we urge them to continue their efforts to apprehend those responsible and bring them to justice.

As Senator Emmanuel Udende rightly emphasized, it is crucial that the perpetrators of these atrocities are held accountable. We must collectively ensure that peace and security are restored in Benue State and that such incidents do not recur.

In these trying times, may the people of Benue State find solace in their faith and community. Let us draw strength from one another and work towards a future where safety and prosperity prevail. Together, we can overcome these challenges and build a stronger, more resilient Benue State.

With deepest sympathy,

*Dr. Mary Alile*
*APC National Women Leader*
