In a significant ceremony held in Abuja, Nigeria, the Zamfara Youth for Peace and Love Initiative appointed Hon. Nasiru Ismail Doka as its Young National Grand Patron. Hon. Nasir was also honored with an award of recognition for his exceptional contributions to the community.
The award presentation was led by the Chairman of the group, Comrade Umar Abubakar Riyoji, who praised Hon. Nasir for his relentless efforts in combating insurgency, banditry, poverty, and illiteracy in Zamfara State. Comrade Umar emphasized that the award is a testament to the sterling qualities that Hon. Nasir embodies, particularly his dedication to peacebuilding and development.
“Hon. Nasir has shown unparalleled commitment and bravery in addressing some of the most critical issues facing our state. His work in creating initiatives to reduce violence and improve education has made a significant impact on the lives of many,” Comrade Umar stated during the award presentation.
The event was attended by several dignitaries and members of the Zamfara Youth for Peace and Love Initiative. They lauded Hon. Nasir's achievements and shared their personal experiences of how his work has influenced positive change in their communities.
One of the speakers, Mallam Madu, a member of the association, spoke highly of Hon. Nasir’s educational initiatives. “Through his efforts, many children who were previously unable to attend school due to insecurity and financial constraints are now receiving an education. This is a crucial step towards breaking the cycle of poverty and violence in our region,” she said.
Another member, Yusuf Abdullahi, highlighted Hon. Nasir’s role in fostering community dialogue and reconciliation. “Hon. Nasir’s approach to peace involves bringing together different community leaders and stakeholders to discuss and resolve conflicts. His inclusive strategies have helped to build trust and cooperation among various groups,” he noted.
Hon. Nasiru Ismail Doka, in his acceptance speech, expressed his gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to the cause. “I am deeply honored to receive this award and to serve as the Young National Grand Patron of the Zamfara Youth for Peace and Love Initiative. This recognition motivates me to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of our state. Together, we can achieve lasting peace and prosperity,” he said.
The Zamfara Youth for Peace and Love Initiative is a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting peace, education, and socio-economic development in Zamfara State. The appointment of Hon.
