In a dramatic turn of events, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano has vehemently denied allegations of implicating the presidency in the ongoing turmoil surrounding Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the national Chairman of the party. Alhaji Ahmad Aruwa, the party's spokesperson, has stepped forward to clarify misconceptions, asserting that his previous statements were taken out of context and manipulated to incite discord within the party ranks.
Aruwa, speaking in a press conference held at the APC state headquarters, emphasized his unwavering allegiance to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government. He underscored the pivotal role played by Kano in delivering overwhelming support to President Tinubu during the last general election, reaffirming the party's commitment to Tinubu's political ambitions.
Addressing the media frenzy that followed the circulation of a viral video allegedly implicating elements within the presidency in the crisis surrounding Ganduje's purported suspension, Aruwa vehemently refuted any insinuations of sabotage. He attributed the misinterpretation of his earlier remarks to the machinations of individuals seeking to sow seeds of discord within the party.
"The bond between President Tinubu and our esteemed National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, remains unshakable," Aruwa declared. "Any attempts to undermine this relationship are futile and serve only to undermine the unity of our party."
Aruwa went on to commend Ganduje's unwavering loyalty to President Tinubu, describing him as a stalwart defender and indispensable ally in furthering Tinubu's political aspirations in Kano. He highlighted Ganduje's contributions to the party's success in the state and dismissed any notions of internal strife.
"We stand united in our support for President Tinubu and our National Chairman, Dr. Ganduje," Aruwa reiterated. "Any insinuations of division are baseless and will not deter us from our collective goal of advancing the ideals of the APC."
The Kano APC spokesperson concluded the press conference by reaffirming the party's unwavering commitment to President Tinubu's leadership and the collective vision of the APC. He urged party members to remain steadfast in the face of adversity and to focus on the task of building a stronger, more unified party.
As the dust begins to settle on the controversy surrounding Ganduje's purported suspension, the Kano APC's firm stance serves as a testament to the resilience of the party and its unwavering dedication to its leadership.
