In a notable political move, Senators Adams Oshiomhole and Monday Okpebholo, representing Edo North and Edo Central Senatorial Districts respectively, extended a warm reception to eight former members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who served as Council chairmen. This significant event transpired in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, under the auspices of the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Chairman, Emperor Jaret Tenebe.
Addressing the gathering, Senator Oshiomhole expressed gratitude for the return of these former colleagues, emphasizing their shared history within the political landscape. He underscored the inclusive nature of the APC, likening it to a spacious home capable of accommodating diverse perspectives and experiences. Moreover, he urged the newly-joined members to actively participate in the party's endeavors, particularly in supporting Senator Okpebholo's gubernatorial aspirations.
