The Silence on the Tic is the Peace of the Graveyard

....and the man died who kept quiet in the face of adversity.- Prof. Wọlé Soyinka in his book titled, AND THE MAN DIED.

From the above quotation, it is very obvious that the words are not mine but borrowed from those who know better and have not shied away from saying the reality.

Today, majority of the social media platforms are awashed with the good work Gov AA of Kwara is doing and I must confess, the loudness is justified if for anything else, at least when the governor's performance is juxtaposed with that of his predecessors, one can safely say Gov  AA has done well and only the avowed enemies of progress would want to rubbish that into the dustbin of history. But as the saying goes, *one thing makes the ajawo bird awkward, its wings are always bigger than its laps.* (Kini kan ba ẹyẹ ajawo je, apa rẹ gún ju itan lo). That exactly is what the retention of the TIC beyond 5th March 2024 had proved against the good work of Gov Abdulraham Abdulrasak's administration.

That everyone is keeping silent on the matter is like the peace of the graveyard. Definitely, it is without harmony and our people's silence on the matter is very deep indeed.

Of a fact, the general conclusion now is that possibly, the governor is seeing so many other things, the people are not seeing. But *ọtun wo, osi wo, oun ti aba dijo wo, gigun lon gun.....meaning looking at an issue from all angles by everyone concerns makes the results to be not only effective but to the advantage of all).*

When issues are looked from one angle by a person or few beneficiaries, the danger is that the leadership is always led astray and the issue of the retention of TIC in Kwara State is nothing short of that, so far as many Kwarans keeping mute now but are keenly watching where and how  the  dancing steps would end are concerned, even though the truth always sound like street and stupid talk. (Otito oro, bi isọkusọ lori). I beg the pardon of elders.

I stop at that for now.

...but as usual, I am just thinking aloud ooo and I stand to be corrected.
