In a shocking turn of events, the tranquility surrounding the Edo State APC Governorship Primary Election was shattered today as unauthorized individuals took to major national television stations and online news outlets to broadcast purported results. The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) swiftly responded with a stern press statement, denouncing the unauthorized announcement and reaffirming the authority of the designated committee led by Governor Hope Uzodinma to oversee the election process.
The statement, issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, Esq, emphasized that only the officially appointed committee is authorized to undertake the final collation and announcement of results for the primary election in Edo State. The unauthorized dissemination of election results not only contravenes party protocols but also undermines the integrity of the electoral process.
In light of these developments, the APC urges all party members, officials in the state, and the general public to disregard the announced results and await the official declaration by the designated committee.
