In a relentless pursuit against terrorism, the combined troops of the Joint Task Force North-West, Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD), have achieved yet another significant success by rescuing 52 kidnap victims in a well-coordinated operation in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
This remarkable feat unfolded on December 22, 2023, as the troops executed a series of clearance operations, effectively dismantling terrorist enclaves in Saruwa, Kubuta, Gundumi villages, and the Bunwanga Gundumi forest in Isa LGA of Sokoto state.
During the operation, the OPHD troops not only neutralized several terrorists but also conducted the successful rescue of 52 kidnap victims. Among the rescued individuals are 14 males, 32 females, and 6 children. The victims will undergo thorough medical check-ups, debriefing, and subsequent handover to the appropriate authorities for the purpose of reuniting them with their families.
This latest operation underscores the commitment and effectiveness of Operation Hadarin Daji in combating criminal elements and ensuring the safety of residents in the North-West region.
