In a recent development, the Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Mr. Philip Agbese, expressed his disappointment and disapproval of the comments made by Yusuf Galambi, the member representing Gwaram Federal Constituency, Jigawa State. Galambi had criticized President Bola Tinubu's presentation of the2024 Appropriation Bill, claiming it lacked details and was merely a show for public attention.
President Tinubu, on Wednesday, presented the2024 budget proposal of N27.5 trillion before a joint session of the National Assembly. However, Galambi, a member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, alleged that the President presented "empty boxes" and accused him of not being prepared for budget defense, but instead, engaging in a theatrical display.
