NLC,TUC Suspend Strike, Instruct Workers to Return to Work Thursday

By Mo. Hanif

In a turn of events, the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have decided to suspend the ongoing strike following a joint National Executive Council (NEC) session. This decision comes after a meeting with the Federal Government held at the office of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, earlier today.

During the session, both labor movements took into account the plea of the Federal Government and, as a result, have resolved to suspend the national strike. Acknowledging the dedication of workers to the success of the industrial action, the labor movement has issued a directive for all workers to resume their official duties starting tomorrow, Thursday,16th November,2023.
