The State Legal Adviser of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Chief Kingsley Chuku, has issued a stern caution to Daniel Bwala, one of the spokespersons for the PDP's Presidential Candidate in the last general elections, Atiku Abubakar, urging him to cease his continual display of ignorance concerning the PDP and the invaluable contributions of Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to the party.
In a statement released on Saturday, Chief Kingsley Chuku expressed his dismay at Bwala's unwavering fixation on anything related to Wike, likening it to the behavior of street thugs. Chuku pointed out that, as a lawyer, Bwala should maintain a higher level of decorum, but unfortunately, his rhetoric is coarser than that of street toughs.
Chuku, a former secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Port Harcourt Branch, criticized Bwala for his recent comments in a video where he discussed the founding members of the PDP.
Bwala claimed that Atiku Abubakar, his principal, was among the PDP's founding fathers, while Chief Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State, was allegedly still involved with the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
Chuku dismissed Bwala's statement as baseless and suggested that a legal mind should conduct thorough research before disseminating such misleading information. He questioned Bwala's mental state and his tendency to spread falsehoods.
Chuku emphasized that Chief Nyesom Wike had a legal career in Port Harcourt before his tenure as the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government, where he practiced law at the reputable law firm of E.C Ukala & Co.
Chuku concluded that Bwala's appointment as Atiku Abubakar's spokesman raised concerns about Atiku's judgment in employing someone with a penchant for malicious intent.
Chuku affirmed the PDP's respect for Chief Nyesom Wike in Rivers State and expressed confidence that the party would regain its prominence in due time, especially after the anticipated departure of individuals like Bwala and other disruptors unleashed on the party by Atiku.
