President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu says he's ready to work with anyone elected by the senators and House of Reps members elect as their representatives in the 10th Senate, saying that the Nigerian Project is Paramount to him.
President Tinubu spoke in an interactive session with traditional leaders from across the country, where he enjoyed the leaders to prevail on their subjects willing to aspire for the various positions in the 10th Senate to consider Nigeria first.
Noting that despite endorsing preferred Candidates for the Senate Presidency and the Speaker ship of the House of Representatives He is ready to work with anyone elected by the Senate and the House in any capacity.
Abiodun Oladunjoye, the director of information at the State House, wrote about the meeting in a statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES
“ Tinubu declared that he is ready to work with any elected representative from the National Assembly, stressing that the Nigeria project is of paramount importance to him.”
Mr. Oladunjoye then quoted President Tinubu as saying: ‘‘Nigeria must survive. Nigeria must develop. Nigeria must make progress.”
This is coming against the backdrop that the President and the leadership of the Governing Party the APC have indicated interest to supporting certain candidates for the Senate and House Principal officers, though the move was met with stiff resistance from senators and members elect who intend to also aspire for the same position.
This is an indication that President Tinubu will not impose any leadership on the Senate and the House of Representatives and is willing to allow the democratic process takes it cause.
