Policy makers and stakeholders in the digital economy across the globe converged at Unity Fountain, Abuja at Day 52 hangout of supporters and admirers of the president -elect, Bola Tinubu on Wednesday.
The stakeholders who were enlisted as the Discussants at the Open Discourse that centered on “Actualization and sustainability of Digital Economy as focal point of Renewed Hope, expectation and desirability.” discussed the future of digital economy and intensify regional public private partnerships.
The Discourse provided a platform for panelists and attendees both online an offline to discuss issues that will strengthen the digital economies in Nigeria and by extension the continent.
The hangout also created an avenue for peer review to accelerate digital transformation and increase collaboration to secure partnerships within the region to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem while intensifying regional public-private partnerships for digital economy funding, research, and development.
The discussion further focus on harnessing digital identity management for economic transformation as well as financial inclusion in Nigeria and Africa. Looking at trends like risks, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and general market governance mechanisms and instruments) for enhanced access to Information Technology that will enable Nigerians to meet its net zero commitment and achieve sustainable socio-economic development
The gathering gave opportunity to showcase the progress made in the development of digital economy in the Nigerian sectors, identify winning strategies, discuss challenges, and prepare for the future in addition to creating awareness of the nation’s needs in the areas of policies and framework for the digital economy and attracting private sponsors for digital transformation in the country.
