The aftermath of the leak of an infamous telephone conversion between the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party and Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church of Nigeria has continue to attract criticism and condemnation and anger of Nigerians from all walks of life, creed, faith and denominations with many describing Obi as a security threat that must be tamed.
In the infamous telephone conversion now dubbed "Thank You Daddy" Mr. Obi was heard describing the 2023 general election as a "religious war" while Mr. Oyedepo responded with I believe so, I believe so, I believe so three times, meaning there was a common believe between Merss Obi and Oyedepo that the 2023 election was a religious war.
It can simply be inferred that Mr. Obi calls the election a "religious war" because he did not only see the election as a struggle for political power but a religious war between the Christians and the Muslims in Nigeria.
Apparently Mr. Obi did care less and is ready to set the country ablaze in order to rule over the ashes.
However Mr. Obi's declaration of war against Muslims and Islam did not go down well with majority of Nigerians with many describing Obi as a religious bigot and opportunistic who should be seen and treated as a security threat due to his use of religion to inflame the embers of violence.
Many people familiar with Mr. Obi's tenure as Anambra state Governor continue to narrate how Mr. Obi causes division between the Catholic and Anglican community in the state as a sitting Governor and how badly he treated the Muslim community in the state.
No wonder Mr. Obi refused to campaign in the core Northern States during the electioneering campaign in the build up to the election.
