The Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa (formerly OSUSTECH) was a museum of abandoned projects. The Institution was neglected for eight years by the immediate past administration.
In 2017, when Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, assumed office, OAUSTECH started to receive considerable attention it deserved.
Within hundred days in office, Governor Akeredolu completed the asphalt laying of the institution’s road from the Main Gate to the heart of the Campus. He has also delivered and commissioned the University’s Library; Auditorium; Administrative Building; Vice-Chancellor’s Lodge; Principal Officer’s Quarters; and some Privately Donated Buildings.
Besides, the Akeredolu administration was able to facilitate the donation of science equipment worth millions of Naira from Seeding Lab., USA, in order to encourage meaningful learning and research in the institution. Today, OAUSTECH is a working institution with many accredited courses. Governor Akeredolu renamed the University after late former Governor Olusegun Agagu. Aketi Did it!
