Atiku, Obi Not Prepared, Only Tinubu Is Prepared To Be Nigeria's President - Bishop Kukah.

The controversial Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Hassan-Kukah, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari , former presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo, among others that led Nigeria, became presidents unprepared.

According to the bishop, no President or Head of State in the history of Nigeria ever came prepared for the job of the number one citizen of the country except the President Elect Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has been nursing and preparing for the task decades ago.

Speaking in an interview with Channels Television on Sunday, Mr. Kukah said, “You can go all the way down in Nigeria, you’re not going to find one single person who has been President or Head of State in Nigeria that came prepared for the job.”

The controversial man of God used the analogy of a “bad marriage” to explain the relationship between Nigeria and its political leaders, “I always say to people, as a priest, that the solution to a bad marriage is not a new marriage. It’s often an attempt to look at what has gone wrong. And if you jump into a new marriage very quickly, after some time, you become nostalgic about the first marriage.”

He said one could say the same thing about Nigeria, adding, “A lot of these changes that we have seen in Nigeria are largely unprogrammed.”

Talking of the military era the cleric added, “Military coups by themselves that stretched over 20 years were just glorified banditry and armed robbery because you pull the gun and became a Head of State.”

Above is the reason we’re saying that only Asiwaju Tinubu is prepared because he has been preparing himself way back since 1990 for this act of service as a president so he knew what to do in making this country to be peaceful, prosperous and industrialized.

Awolowo was also to perform very well as premier of Western Region then because he was prepared for the job. Awolowo started preparing for this job when he was studying in UK and at same time studying how UK government was running perfectly well then so he could have a better understanding of how to run a government like that in his own country.

Atiku, Obi weren’t prepared for this job and that’s why i said we should not make the same mistakes in rushing to just get someone anyhow who is not prepared to be the president of Nigeria again while i opted for Asiwaju Tinubu that’s prepared for the task of the job of a president of Nigeria.

  1. This is a bold comment considering the position taken by the cleric on Mr. Tinubu's political postures. True, Tinubu is well prepared for all events in and around the electons and leadership of the country.

  3. He might appeare "prepared " but the odds are against him - ill health, old age and exploring religion (one of the potent fault lines) to achieve his political ambition is not only dangerous. This is capable of destabilizing this country by religious fanaticism. Strategy that will likely impede on the unity of the country

    1. It was peter Obi who clearly played religion/ethnicity card.the nature of result he got is there for us to see .only got votes in Christian dominated areas of the north, got like 90% in most of the eastern states

  4. Yoruba votes to Tinubu is not tribal but igbos vote to Obi is tribal. Thenorth west votes to Atiku is not both tribal and religious but only obi votes is religious. The pattern of votes of south east for obj, Yaradua, jonathan, Atiku had been 85%plus. Please Mr Anonymous, stop this unintelligent reasoning

    1. This is the most uninformed, unrealistic and untrue statement from Rev Father Kukah over the years . He has not critically analysed Bola Tinubu whose ascension is not on popular vote but on strong arm tactics similar to what the drugs barons are used to in Italy and South America. Do we need a country divided into fiefdoms for drug trade. Rev Father, read behind the headlines. Do you know how many of our children are in drug rehab program in various cities in NIGERIA so that someone can be classed as rich, affluent and mighty? Read, Read and inform yourself before you come to the public place and categorise presidential candidates.

  7. Shameless lie from the pit of hell. How can Kukah who voted for Obi say such a thing? Obi once vice Presidential candidate, Atiku once a vice president and u say they are not prepared to run for president, Tinubu who has never aspired for president is more prepared, Use your head to think and not your Anus.
