Bayo Onanuga Never Said, “Tinubu's Drug Business Was 10 Years Ago.

By David Peter

Our attention has been drawn to the statement in circulation that "Tinubu's drug business was over 10 years ago; he can be president now.” hence, citing the Director of the APC Media and Publicity Presidential Campaign Council, Mr. Bayo Onanuga as the dramatist of such falsehood.

It is no longer news that, precarious media outfits seeking for poor prestige over the week have consistently engrossed in peddling the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu with erroneous lies upon his rightful emergence to serve the goodwill of the people.

To buttress, Bayo Onanuga tweets on Saturday, while responding to Ayo Obe who disputed Bola Ahmed Tinubu's chances of swearing on May 29.

Bayo wrote, “The Obidiots don't read. They live in a cocoon of falsehood and contrived propaganda,” Mr. Bayo responded to Ayo's dispute in his tweets. A prudent human would comprehend the correlation between Bayo's retort and the statement in circulation if not to trigger cheap propaganda by opponents against the president-elect.

The director was surprised that even a renowned journalist, Mr. Reuben Abati could marry in such concoct of lies. He described the statement peddled by the opponents as a load of baloney. “I leave them to their consciences and Almighty God,” he added.

The opposition party has resurfaced to wail and beep their signs of frustration over their pending court pleas which would result in no conquest of hope: They subsist in seeking to wake a horse protracted dead and buried in 1993 and for which a media house publicly apologized in 2016 originating with such fallacy.

However, one of the unconscionable and nasty stories peddled by political opponents about Bola Ahmed Tinubu was to paint him erroneously as a drug baron with no credible evidence even at this time cataloging this rejoinder.

The general public and media outfits should check the facts of their reports. Hence, refrain from disseminating such untrue and baseless anecdotes about the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
