Kaduna state governor Mallam Nasir Elrufai blamed certain elements in the state house for working against the party and using the CBN as a tool to instigate Nigerians against the ruling APC in other to give victory to the opposition.
Mallam Nasir El-rufai made the accusations this morning on a TV program "the saddle" aired by Channels TV.
El-rufai agreed that the Naira redesign policy is a welcome development and it's a policy they all agreed with and advised Mr. President in favor of but the policy is been executed in a very wrong time which does not make any economic or political sense.
He blame some fifth columnists in the villa for working in cohorts with the opposition in oder to pitch the people against the ruling APC. Saying Nigerians will be made to assume that this is an APC policy where as it not the policy of the governing party rather the policy of the fifth columnists using Emefile as a front.
He says those fifth columnists are still nursing grudges with the mainstream APC for not been giving them the presidential ticket of the party on a platter of gold, thus holding such grudge and trying to instigate a major crises that will either lead to disruption of the elections or will make APC lose.
" we support the idea of the redesign, we know that there are people with stashes of cash, we also want those mopped up, but we should not in the process make ordinary people suffer, or ignite the anger of voters against our party as if it is our party's policy it is a policy of a few people". El- rufai said.
When asked if the people he is referring to in the villa are members of the ruling APC El-rufai said "most of them are not, that's what's interesting most of them are not".
He agrees that President Muhammadu Buhari has a very clean intention regarding the policy but the timing doesn't make any political or economic sense.
